During Colonic

During a Colonic Hydrotherapy Treatment

Your colonic treatment will begin with a quick rectal examination before a small speculum is carefully inserted in the client’s bowel through the rectum. The tube is very small and many people hardly feel the insertion due to its size and special lubricant which is used.

The speculum is attached to a tube which leads to a machine which allows temperature controlled filtered water into the colon at a safe and controlled rate. The client is then temporarily filled with water up to the level of the entire colon.

The process can be felt but is not uncomfortable. Peristalsis action is triggered by the water which allows the client to expel water with faecal matter back through the tube and away. The faecal matter is flushed out via a transparent pipe so that what is eliminated can be monitored by your therapist.

Your therapist may also gently massage your abdomen to help dislodge impacted faecal matter, or use a combination of reflexology and lymphatic drainage to increase the benefits of the treatment.

All of the equipment is disposable and hygienically prepared just before your treatment to ensure 100% cleanliness.
